The software also includes AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) encoding and decoding. The plug-in is ideal for a wide variety of applications ranging from video telephony to high-end broadcasting and storage. It offers presets for Apple iPod, Sony PSP, AVCHD and many more professional formats. The software also includes the MainConcept H.264 Decoder, enabling playback of H.264/AVC files in Windows Media Player and other compatible programs. The demo version of the Main Concept Reference is a kind of basic application which includes the most important MainConcept codecs as a demo.
