The DN-400 video recorder allows for file-based tapeless solutions that save you hours of capturing time.

The DN-400 comes with a 250GB removable hard drive installed inside an enclosure (additional enclosures/hard drives are available). Once you have completed your recording, simply eject the hard drive enclosure, and use the USB 2.0 port to connect to a PC or MAC based NLE system, (no power supply required, as USB provides power, so it's perfect to use with laptops in the field). You can work directly from the removable drive, or copy video files to your NLE’s video drives.

• With the included PC CD software, you can convert to many other formats: Quicktime, AVI Type 1 and 2, Sony ES-3 Canopus AVI Type 1 and 2, Sony DSR DU-1 DV (.dvd), Matrix RT2500 DV, Avid OMF DV, Raw DV (.dv, .dif, .dvsd). The CD Software allows you to batch the file conversion (see below).

Note: The DN-400/500 does not support 720p.
