2-channel SDI, AES and analog audio monitor with metering that selects between the first 2 subgroups of SDI or an AES pair.
The AMP2-SDA audio monitor provides self-powered, full-fidelity stereo monitoring in in a compact, two rack space (2U) cabinet.
The unit features an SDI input and reclocked output on BNC connectors, AES input on a BNC connector, AES output (converted from the SDI input) on BNC connector, analog inputs on two balanced XLR connectors, SDI subgroup select switch, SDI/AES source switch, D/A source switch, and two high-resolution 53-segment tri-color LED bargraph level meters.
A pair of balanced XLR connectors output the selected audio source for connection to downstream equipment.
The level meters may be adjusted for a number of parameters, including Display Mode, Peak Hold, PPM Ballistics, Alternate Scales, and Phase Correlation via rear panel and internal DIP switches. An Auto Line Level Calibrate feature is also available.
The audio amplifier section features five high performance transducers driven by three power amplifiers: two amplifier/driver combinations handle midrange and high frequency information in stereo (left and right speakers), while the third center channel reproduces information below the 500 Hz crossover point (woofer speaker).
Output limiter circuits are incorporated to protect the speakers, and extensive magnetic shielding allows placement immediately adjacent to magnetically sensitive equipment, such as video monitors.
The unit front panel also features AES status LED, SDI status LED, Wohler's' proprietary three-LED stereo phase indication feature, volume control, balance pot, power indication LED, and stereo headphone output.
